When i am on my brakes coming up to a stop and hit a bump in the road my abs kicks in and will not stop intell i stop my truck fully or i let off the brakes altogether. is this normal or do i have to take it in. it is a 200 2.2 s-10 (yah i know that the 2.2 are slow but i like my truck) thanks EcKo

That happens to mine too. You hear a "ping" sound and the truck throws itself forward a lot. Only when braking on a bump or hole in the road. It did it real bad when I first got it, after having the brakes serviced, it doesn't throw itself forward so much, just a little bit.

There is a "Service Bullitin" about it from Chevy/GM.
Go to Yahoo's car section or any other car information site,
look for the RECALLS page,
there should be a "recall search" feature,
enter the trucks info
and it should bring up that bullitin.
It is not an offical recall, it is a service bullitin which means dealers have to fix it for free if it concerns your truck.

Yeah it really makes me feel comfortable while heading towards the rearend of a car to have the brakes let off just because I'm going over a bump...
