ok..... i'm in a big dilemma now... christmas is coming up and i decided i would like to get a set of wheels..... now the first question.... what size rim? i have an xtreme with a 2/3 drop, stepside if it matters. i think my best bet is probly a 7" or 7.5". and does it matter if i get a 7" up front and a 9" in back when it comes to getting tires. i wont have to get to diff size tires right? (i need to rotate my tires )



and now the main question

i need ideas for nice 18" chrome wheels.
i would like to get a set with some design to it.... not just eagle 212 or boyds... i like the dante vertigo type.. but i don't know of any other types... any help would be greatly appreciated!

well if you get a 7in front and a 9in rear, you wont be able to rotate. you will need to run a different size tire. to rotate properly all the wheels and tires must be the same size with the same backspacing

when i had my 4/4 drop i was running a 17x8 and a 17x9.5

you should be ok running a 18x8, unless you just really want a 7 or 7.5

no i really had no idea what size to get.... i just know now... that i need to look for rims with an 8" or less....

and shhhhhhh dont tell my parents but in a few years i will be baggin the x.... and in that case. i should probly stay with like a 7.5"?

I am thinking about getting some KMC condors or stealths, or some Panther Juices, but they come in 18x8.5 inches if I remember correctly. Does that extra half an inch matter, I really want 18x8's. Eventually the truck will be bagged, I have an Xtreme with a 2/3 drop. Can I get the 8.5 inch wide rims or are they too wide to tuck? Thanks for any help.

i'm really liking the kmc stealths now... they're a sharp looking rim! again only in 18x18.5

Thanks for the info, I will take new pics when I get the wheels in the next couple weeks. I dont have a pic of my truck right now that I can find, sorry. The lopro cover is pretty nice, the only bad thing is 12 small holes had to be drilled into the bed to secure it, so if you ever want to change covers it will have some holes to fill. Its about an inch high with dual locks that connect to the tailgate so it cant be opened when the cover is locked. I wanted a snugtop but shipping was outrageous so I got the lopro from a local dealer.

I know what you mean. I saw on another thread the Boyd Timeless 2's and I like those too. I know billet is more work to keep the shine than chrome wheels, but now I dont know what I want.
