I couldn't think of a good place to post this, so I landed here.
I need to know what you guys use for repair manual.
Any opinions?
I've look at couple, but they fall sort.

For the price that they are going for, I would not buy the factory service manuals. I've never needed them, there's nothing too specialized about an S10. For a 2003, there's not many vehicles from that year that have such an ancient design.

Here's a complete set for 1998 for $75

Or a brand new set for 1998 for $82

I have both 1998 and 2002 S10's and about the only difference is the 02 has a newer PCM and secondary air injection. Both are what I consider minor differences. I can get you the 2003 wiring diagrams.
For some reason any manuals for 2001 up anything are outrageously priced. The only sets I saw on eBay were $350 to $500.
I never bought them for my 02 because the 98 manual covers 99.5% of everything on the truck. The 1998 MY was the last major changes to the S-series.
Whatever you do don't but a CD that claims to have the complete manual. They don't.
I've bought a couple and sent them back for a refund because they were not as advertised.

I've been down that road also. Tried all the electronic versions and most don't work, and some are just junk.
