Ok I finally went out and bought a magnetic angle finder and measured my angles but now I am not sure how to interpret them. The angle of my driveshaft at the differential is 2 degrees and the angle of my driveshaft at my tranny is 5 degrees. Right now I have 3 degree shims and no center bearing shim. If anybody can tell me with these measurements what I need to do next it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

I got it at Home Depot for $8. It was in the tools section with the measuring tapes.

you need to shim up the tranny (you can use washers for that) and possibly the carrier bearing. All the degrees have to been within 2 degrees of each other to cancel out. Good luck!

Oh I know about the carrier bearing. I already shimmed that. I was talking about the tranny cuz IceDime said something about shimming that too.
