So recently I straight-piped my 94 s10 with a Flowmaster, after the change I am getting a raw gas smell, not as good gas mileage, i suppose I feel lack of power but the truck never had that much power to begin with... Planning on making a trip to New Mexico from here in Ohio. I know the truck will make it but man do I wanna figure this out so I can save money. Any help??

The cats job is to filter that smell. No benefits to removing a functioning cat. With that said you can have a purge sensor/valve stuck open.

too much air going past the o2 sensor will make you run way rich(your smell and lack of power)- so start by checking for exhaust leaks. PS- no check engine light? removing the cat can cause issues.
