99 Zr2, 4.3, 4x4 w/ NP233, is the click sound when you hit the different vdrive buttons and the light on each buttoned the only indicators? just changed the hub vacuum switch on top of the transfer case. Thanks
The better question is will all that still work with trans fluid from the transfer case in the vacuum lines, how would I know that there was any fluid in the actuator vacuum lines? Thanks
Disconnect the line at the actuator and see if it's wet inside. You'll need to pull the battery and tray to get to it.
Did you drain the excess out of the transfer case by opening the fill plug and letting it drain? A bad switch by itself won't get ATF into the vacuum system. You also need the all too common transfer case input seal leak which overfills the TC. If you have that issue be sure to check your trans fluid level often. However much low the trans is, is how much drained into the TC.
No, I did not drain any ATF from the transfer case, nothing has given me problems. I just premptively changed the vacuum switch on the case to prevent issues. I will check that actuator though, thanks👍
