Hey guys I have a 01 Grand Prix GT, and i'm using the old LED's out of my 98 S-10 in my taillights... My blinkers blink light 55x faster than they are supposed to... And i remember some kind of fix for this. Can anyone give me any ideas on this?

Thanks
Chad

The only fix I know of is from HzEngineering. They sell some kit to fix it.

I was told to get an electronic flasher, I bought one, but haven't put it or my LED's in yet, so I can't tell you if it works.

Where did you find the electronic flasher, and what was the part number?

Thanks

I would go to autozone and ask them for an electronic flasher for your car, I don't remember my part #, and it is probably different than yours anyway... I think mine was like $10 or something, and I was told they are also used for towing, because they have to add extra lights, which caused the lights not to flash right, so the electronic one flashed based on time instead of the amount of load.

Flasher
I just changed mine last weekend. It cost $2.49 for a regular one.
And up to $12.95 for a loud one. What it does is it controls
the blinking. You have two in your truck, one for turn signals
and one for the hazards. They're small and easy to change, but
are hard to get to. Mine (96 Blazer) is behind the lower dash,
It's actually to the left behind the cig lighter and under the stereo.
So you have to remove alot of the lower dash pieces to reach the bastords.

98+ it is behind the glove box..:D:D:D...just open the box, remove all items, and there is a little metal hook type latch...push it to the side, and the glove box will fall totally open. you will then see the flasher, it's a black (i think) box, with a ziptie around it
