I know there is a build sheet in the glove box, but what numbers refer to the gear ratio? I have a '91 GMC Jimmy 4x4 with a 4.3 V6 and i want to see what my gear ratio is. Can anyone help me figure this out or know what was commonly used. Thanks.

a few Q's first..........!
Is the truck driveable
and have close to stock and a 4 speed tranny and
sized tires on It and a tachometer......! ?
take the truck up to 75.........! and shift out of Overdrive in to 3RD
and look at what the numbers on the tach SAy......!
L I K E......... 3400 RPM or so would mean a 3:42.1 rear ratio
3700 or so mean 3:73.1 and So o n ........!
