I read somewhere that someone took their overloads off to drop the back down level. My question is...is this hard to do? Is it safe? And how much will it drop down? Also, will this mess up the pinion angle on the driveshaft to the point where i have to get it machined???? thanks for any info

I did it and it only lowers your truck as thick as the overload is approx 1/2 inch , as far as removal you must first hang the rear suspension then remove all four u bolts , let the lower plate hang where the shocks are bolted , remove center pin from spring ( you may want to clamp the spring pack together so they dont pop in your face and then reinstall centerbolt and u bolts .

Seems like the overload would raise the back how ever thick it was. Seems like it kinda acts like a block.

yeah...thats what i'm tring to do. Would I have to do anything to the driveshaft? I know there's a certain point before you have to modify it.
