My name is Tim and I work closely with a 501(c)3 charity out of Bowling Green, KY called the Kentucky Veteran's Brigade. We provide our local veterans the Veteran's Alliance Center, a thrift store where all veterans can shop for free from donated items, along with providing transportation back and forth to medical appointments. We provide a food pantry and homeless services as well.

We partner with a group called Wheeling with Warriors that puts on a large get together every fall where they take vets on trail rides in their dedicated trail rigs, along wirh barbecue and raffles etc. We were recently gifted a 1998 Chevy S-10 4x4 with the v6 (not sure which one) for us to build for the event.

It has a few goodies on it already, a 2" body lift, 31s, a brush guard on the front (I believe may be for a different platform, it fits wonky), a K&N CAI, and we recently had it painted desert tan with black bedliner accents (morrors, bumpers, stuff like that).

Unfortunately, the previous owner didn't keep up much with maintenance and it's in need of a few things. Mostly suspension parts. We were able to work with Rough Country to get a 2.5" suspension lift kit graciously donated to the project. But I'm chasing down tie rod ends, ball joints, a drivers side cv axle, and general tune up parts right now.

Im working on getting some pics uploaded of the current state and the progress along the way. Happy to be here and excited to jump in and get this thing running right :)

Welcome to the Forum! I feel certain that the Vets really appreciate all of your efforts. And hopefully, you can find some other suppliers that will be as generous as Rough Country.

It took tons of time, but we finally got the truck back from the shop. Got the RC 2.5" lift put on, along with some new 17s wrapped with some BFG a/t 34s. They also addressed some other steering components and brakes and other maintenance issues.

But now the problem is rubbing ><

So now we need to do some massaging of the fenders front and rear, as well as probably needing some spacers cuz the fronts rub on the frame when at full lock.

Anyway I'll get some pics once the weather clears up of how it sits now. 👍🏻

Not super often, but its very noticeable. Went from stock wheels to 12" wide 34s lol. The way it sits now is alright but I think with some spacers it would be a bit more aggressive and better looking, plus eliminate clearance issues. Had to take off the valance from the front bumper and the mudflaps to clear. The rear fenders need to be massaged a bit, it rubs over bumps. And the back of the front fenders meeds some love too, it rubs on turning. But she looks sick 😎
