My 87 4x4 has developed a problem with the front brakes. When you let off the pedal they drag for a little while before completely releasing. Especially the passenger side.
I don't know if it's related but a few weeks ago while replacing the pads the pedal got pushed in and one of the pistons in the passenger side caliper got pushed out of its bore. I reinstalled the piston and bled the brakes and thought everything was fine. the piston and seals weren't damaged and slid back in pretty easily. Could there be a problem with the proportioning valve or master cylinder? If just the passenger caliper was sticking I'd suspect a damaged piston but BOTH sides drag ?????????
