A friend of mine has a 95 blazer and he is having problems with his heater. He has change the thermostat twice and has had the system flushed out. I dont know what else could be wrong. he thinks he has a block in his heater core and i thought that maybe his switches in the panel could be going bad.

what do you guys think?

Its pretty common for Dexcool to clog the heater core. With the engine warmed up just check the heater hoses going into the firewall. If one is cooler than the other then you have a leak. It could also be a stuck vent door in the dash.

IVE GOT A 96' BLAZER WHEN I FLUSHED MY COOLING SYSTEM IT CAUSED THE HEATER CORE TO CLOG WORSE THAN IT WAS BEFORE JUST TAKE YOUR HEATER CORE HOSES LOOSE AND RUN WATER THRU TO PUSH ANY CLOGS OUT DEX-COOL IS GOOD AT CAUSING THIS IN HEATER CORE AND RADIATER THATS WHY I SWITHED BACK TO THE OLD STUFF

Can you switch back to the green stuff after you get a flush? I hear dexacool is worthless. If i do switch back what do i need to do besides the flush??
