I posted a thread a while ago called what happened to my gas mileage. I found a rear brake caliper hanging up, put a new one in, and now my mileage is back up close to where it was. Still dealing with "winter blend" gas but at least I'm not driveing around with my brakes on any more!:rotf:

what exactly is back up? I just sold my crew cab because I couldnt get past 14mpg no matter how easily I drove it. I was looking at a 03 ZR2 pickup but thinking I might go Colorado or Canyon instead

Back up to around 18 to 20. I get 20 to 22 in the summer. I had a 2000 Ranger that got 14 mpg, sold it before the first payment!

Mine went down...not because of brake calipers but because I added two more cylinders....

Did the K&N filter help with mileage of just give it more power?

Seemed like it got a little more power and about 1 or 2 mpg. Not too much but good if you're cheep like me.
