how do you take off the cover to change the gages faces and stuff?

there is clips on the top and bottom, i think there is 2 on each....u clip them off and viola.

what are some good cheap ways to make the gages look sweet?

scrape the yellow off the needles with a razor blade or nail file so it is white.
