I'll update the post,but it's a 2000 S10 2.2 LS truck.It has a new fuel pump and it is the check valve.
It has a new fuel pump and it is the check valve.
Are you asking if it's possibly a bad check valve or telling us that you know what the problem is? In which case, fix it.
The other thing I have a question about is that you say it starts cold with 0 fuel pressure. How are you determining that's it's zero? AFAIK if you have no pressure in a fuel injection system the injectors can't inject any fuel and it would be impossible for it to start. Somebody please correct me if my understanding of how FI works is wrong.

That's what I am saying.Zero presure with gauge.Starts first turn.Wondering how.Not impossible.
The gauge is broken or the testing setup is not right! A car that needs 60psi will run on 20psi, barely, and on 30psi it'll run okay. I can't imagine the injectors working with zero psi. Please double check your setup and report back. You could disable the injectors and see if it starts, if it does then it's probably leaking fuel past the diaphragm in the regulator and that's why you're getting ghost fuel. But do as much diagnostics as you can take, before replacing parts
