have a 97 s10 and I think it has come down to the Buffer Module Bad in my truck Causing the Fuel Gage to always read full. Has any one ever changed one of these and was it hard to get out? I know its under the glove compartment some where and i have seen a few diagrams but any other help would be nice.

Gm and their one year only fixes. That didn't work. It's supposed to eliminate seeing the turn signals bouncing the gas gauge. Didn't work. IIRC from when I was messing with them on our 97 Blazer they're real easy to remove. Been 10 years, but I remember just pulling one out and putting the other in. Got 2 in my desk drawers some where. Kind of doubt that would cause total failure of a gas gauge, but I suppose it's possible.
