My friends 2.2 just died in his sonoma. its a 95 or 96 and he had found a 98 2.2 but the guy doing the install said that it wouldnt work said it had to be a 96 or 97 or something. Will these work and he did something wrong or what.... any info will be greatly appriciated.

need a 96 or 97 engine for the OBD II block.....98 and up's are different engines.
