Here is a sound clip of my 40 series single in/dual out..with the tips chopped off, so i guess its not really a turn down. Its also on a 4.3..and the poping you hear is part of the reason its getting redone. Im not sure what size pipes they used but they were obveously to big. Well this is here for any who are interested..

sounds good to me. i would go with 2.5 dual pipes or 2.25 pipes

Im not to sure I want to do the duals again, i've had problems with them since the start, the duals have been redone twice, it was either banging on something, tips were scraping, now the pipes are melting the rubber on somebreak lines...i think im just donna do a single in/single out, behind the passanger tire, with a ravin or magnaflow muffler

do single 3 inch with your current 40 flowmaster and no cat. i think it would sound bada$$ PM el guapo for a sound clip his sounds amazing

oh man, that doesn't sound half as good as the Ravin, I can see why you are getting it redone.

the flows clip sounds kool to me i have a 40 series 2.5 pipe, single in dual turndown before axle, and i like the poping noise
