Just bear with me on the updates since I'm workin full time and back in school now. Let me know what you think

Thanks guys. The exterior I'm gonna keep the same scheme but im thinkin like a rootbeer brown undercoat then black on top and sand through the edges so the rootbeer comes through. Kinda fake rust look. I have 15" cragers for it that I'm doin wide whites on
Looks like a sick build I'll be watching
Thanks man I looked at your build too. Came out sick. This is my first body drop but I think I can tackle it

No real updates on the truck. I picked up the metal to build a chassis table so I was workin on that today. Almost got it finished. Just gotta finish up the gussets then it's good to go. And I got a gift today from my buddy Mike of Dedicated Customs in Kentucky. A manifold cause I'm switchin to manual valves. Came out pretty dope too

Hell ya he's a cool guy for sure. And thanks man I appreciate it
Thanks. A good friend of mine has a shop just down the street from my house and he cuts out everything I need. He's pretty awesome that I can just give him an idea through text and a couple hours later its done haha. Hopefully today after work I'll get the driver side tubbed and the trans tunnel cut out.
Hey do any first gen SFBD guys have pictures of their transistions from the front clip ?
Hell ya thanks stockfloor. I didnt even think to look back through your build. I was just tryin to see where the best place to cut off would be. I like how you did your body mounts too. Now that I got my jig done, next weekend I'll have the metal to start workin on the frame rails. Anything else I need to know feel free to to tell me haha. Thanks again man
Ya I've been double checkin everything before I cut the front clip off. I just really need to make sure I set up the length from the rear axle to the front clip correct. Thats my biggest fear is ****in that up haha everything else I think will go smoothly.
No problem. Yea look through my thread it might help out. And my body mounts were to stiff (vibrated the hell outta the cab) so they got redone thats in the tread too!

Oh and measure measure measure

I measured from center of front spindle to center of rear drum to keep wheel base. Other than that just run the rails parallel to each other and your good!
Ok cool I'll do that too. I have to take a test tomorrow morning at 9 but after that I'm gonna get down to my shop to do some work. Hopefully I'll get the front clip cut off and on the jig and get the driver side tub done on the firewall. I'll have some more pics to post this weekend.
Hey stockfloor I was lookin at your build and for your frame horns did you drop them and extend them out a little bit or am I just lookin at them wrong haha. It sucks having to do this all on my phone but any insight would be helpful. Thanks man

They are just moved straight down, just make sure your weld a bar in between them before cutting them off
Ya I will hopefully get that done this weekend too. I got down to the shop tonight for a little bit and got started on the driver side tub. Can't run a bead on that thin shit so its tack tack tack haha. Do you know why the hell my pics arent full size ? Haha its annoying

Tubs look good, looks like you have a lack of gas.. (Wholes in weld) I use photobucket it sizes them for me I guess
Thanks sir. The holes are because its just tack weld after tack weld. N. a consistent weld. Hard to do that on the thin sheet metal. I'll have to see about getting photo bucket then cause this thumbnail shit is killin me haha. I'll get down there later today and finish everything up on that tub and get everything set up on the jig. Thanks for stickin with me haha for a while I thought I was talkin to myself on here haha
Using photobucket? Should just copy the IMG code into the box and go.
Ok cool I'll give it a whirl. Thanks
It worked finally. These are just the adjustable feet I made for my jig
