I'm just building a cover for my box to hide, one of my amps, distribution blocks, etc, and rather than using a peuny 3" brush to try and spread resin over the matte, could I use a "sponge" type roller to roll the resin on and then use the short bristled brush to "jab" the resin into the matte to fully saturate it? I figured the roller would also help with removing bubbles.

any thoughts?

when making sheets of 'glass i pour the resin on and use a spreader to spread it and work out air.very effective if you can get the hang of it

Seems like the mat would stick to the sponge. Let me know though, im building a box right now that goes in place of the jump seat. Mine is gonna have more volume than the ones the guy on here makes.
