I am here again asking y’all for help lol. For a 2000 4.3 ext cab I was looking at the Belltech 3” drop blocks part number : 146-6200 but in the description is says for extended cab applications use the 2 degree tapered blocks part number : 146-6202
Will the 2 degree tapered blocks keep the pinion angle the same ? I have never seen anything else saying ext. cabs need tapered blocks. Someone help pls

They've been in the business for a long time...if the say tapered...get tapered...just not their blocks. Get solid steel or aluminum.

I've had their blocks crack on me twice. I'm currently using JTR blocks with their angle shims.

I had the same Bell Tech blocks on my truck for 20 years...never cracked. I had Sean make some solid aluminum blocs with a 3* angle for me that sat for a couple of years....minimum...lol. We swapped them out when we did the swap. Overall, they were in ok shape, with the exception of one of the pins corroded off. Of course, being in the Pac NW, they don't use much corrosive stuff on the roads when it snows. It helps that I didn't drive it when it snowed either.

That has to be the deciding factor, between the salt and road gravy they use here in Nj and driving all year. Both sets corroded heavily before they cracked. The JTRs have seen the same use just not as much time, and they show no signs of corrosion yet.

So 3” jtr blocks with 2 degree tapered shims??? I live in Cali so no salt or bs on the roads any time during the year barely barely ain’t rain where I am so I am not worried about corrosion Just about which blocks are strongest as I beat the hell put of my truck sometimes (where I live about half of the roads aren’t paved and there is no way to get around going on a nasty dirt road, this is also the reason I have decided not to drop lower than 2/3 for now:/) I have seen ppl say the U bolts included in the jtr block kits are too short and people end up having to buy longer ones. What size would I need and how long ??

Strongest are solid steel...next best is solid aluminum. Do yourself a favor and go to a spring shop. They can bend up a set of "U" bolts while you wait.

If you buy JTR's they come with U-bolts. I have a set of JTR's drop block. Haven't installed them,yet.
