I have recently purchased a 1995 s10 4.3 with 428xxx km for 300$ (original auto trans and motor) it ran well for about a week. then long story short it spun a con rod bearing. I’m not really looking to rebuild the engine since it’s got poor compression, so I’ve been looking around for a parts vehicle and I’ve found a 2005 blazer with 126xxx km on it with no issues other some registrations and inspection stuff that needs done. But I’m wondering if I were to get this blazer as a parts vehicle would it be a straight forward job to swap parts off the 05 blazer onto the 95 s10
(I would be swapping the engine, trans and transfer case and maybe even axles aswell as suspension onto the s10)

Way too much trouble. Keep the Blazer...ditch the 95.

The 95 and 05 engines aren't interchangeable. Neither is the trans assuming they're both automatics. 1995 was a one year only transmission. Actually a 1 year only truck. Most S10 aficionados avoid them.
As Rhot says the 05 low kilometer Blazer sounds like a whole lot better vehicle in every respect. It would have the newest, most improved version of everything.
