1992 S10 blazer v6, 4.3 liter. 94000 miles
when raining and until vehicle dries, the engine runs rough at idle and misses at all speeds. It does'nt stall, but runs very poorly. It runs fine when dry. Could it be cracked spark plug wire or distrubutor problem?

replace the spark plug wires and plugs...

if it helps I had a 91 do the same thing it ended up being a crack in the coil pack. I could barley even see it I just got lucky one day and saw an arc jump while it was raining. just a thought hope it helps.

Wait until it gets late at night to where it's dark outside.. Then take a water bottle full or water, and pop the hood and start spraying the water on the wires, coil, and the distributor cap. You will more than likely find that either the coil pack is bad as stated above, or you have a crack in the cap, letting in moisture, which inturn will mess up the rotor.. While you are spraying move stuff around, eventually you will see an arch across something..

Use a test light hooked up to negative post to find an arc. Works every time.
