I'm having a security issue with my 2000 Jimmy I'm assuming that it's the BCM it won't do a relearn..well sometimes it will most times it won't. I was thinking if I grab an ECM and BCM out of the same vehicle can I swap them without having to delete vatts and just do a simple relearn or is there more to it?..the security system consists of the key cylinder sending a code to the bcm. if it gets the ok every thing is ok the bcm sends a code to the ecm telling it all is kewl and to keep the engine running...so swaping ecm and bcm out of the same jimmy should work bu theory??
