2pc is stronger than aluminum. Stock shaft is fine for most mild builds. Otherwise just have a new shaft made and order it with larger 1350 universals and a 40mm center bearing, 3.5" shaft dia.

I was surprised. mine fit perfectly. I would also depend on motor placement
mine might would have fitted .but i got more clearance for headers and radiator by sliding engine as far back as possible

i put a 8.8 rear end i my s10 that im building and do not know how much to cut out
Every build can end up being unique, this is a hotrod mag article on how to measure a driveshaft so you can figure the correct length.
alternatively, if there is a driveline shop in your area you could probably bring them the truck and have it done.

As suggested make sure the vehicle is sitting level on all four wheels, not with suspension hanging...it makes a difference.
