add miles on the odometer, I have a 92 bravada w/ dig dash. It shows 167k. but parts like seats, carpet, brake pedel, show very little wear. I think it could have been towed behind a rv. Does anybody have any knowlege of this, thanks Jeff

From what I was told, yes. The only way it wouldn't is if the driveshaft was disconnected or in 4WD models the transfer case put in neutral also.

89 and later use an electronic speedo/odo meter. Could be that if the ignition is off the instrumentation isn't getting power and therefore NOT clocking miles. :dunno:Anyone care to test this?

Looking at wiring diagram power is only supplied to the DRAC with the key in the run position. So does the DRAC pass pulses from the VSS to odometer? I know the VSS generates it's own AC signal but doesn't the DRAC need power to convert the AC to a digital pulse for the speedometer/odometer?
