See how your rear spring mount juts way down lower then the frame?
A non Zr2 doesn’t, its almost flush with the frame. This is the easiest tell for me. Fender flares are more fake-able.

My newly acquired 99 LS has the "wide-track" option and the glove box sticker lists ZR2. Springs, Wheels, skid plates all support it. Was the "wide-track" a ZR2 in disguise?

Firewall sticker supports it too. Guess I have a "stealth" ZR2...

I have a 2003 S-10 LS crew cab so I'm assuming not Zr2. Isn't there supposed to be skid-plates as well to be Zr2?

My 98 ZR2 has 3 aluminum skid plates under the front 1/2 of the truck.
All of the other 2nd gen 4x4 non-ZR2 S10's I have owned had just the front plastic one.
The skid plates are mentioned in GM sales literature for the ZR2, but since there aren't any left that are close to being new, they may or may not still be there. Or an owner could have added them. The 2nd or 3rd skid plate is held on by Torx bolts with spring washers. I doubt anyone retro fitting a non ZR2 would go to the trouble to add those special bolts.

I have a 1994 ZM-6 but I didn't see a sub forum for them. The engine and transmission are rebuilt and I am (very slowly, I'm an old guy) repairing numerous dents. I can not find any ZM-6 decals so I guess it will be a plain black paint job.

Without looking it up, I'm going to guess ZM6 is just an RPO code for an option of some sort.
are ZR2 front fenders the same as the Xreme fenders ?

ZR2 fenders are not the same as any other S10 fenders.
was slightly hoping they might have been since both fenders use flares on them , even though the Xtremes are smaller , guess ill have more to part out on the ZR2 i bought for parts , though i hate doing it to a ZR2 blazer , they are fun , lol
Anybody know where I can find a ZM-6 decal or a picture of one? I removed them during the sanding process. They were about the same size and style as the ZR2 decals with a large ZM and a smaller 6 with Off Road under the 6. If I can find a picture I can have them made. The lightning bolts on the doors and the Chevy Thunder on the tailgate were a bit much so I wont replace them.

Maybe they were a dealer add-on. Check at LMC Truck.
