What would happen if you were to go from the stock 3.42 gears in a 4x4, and put 4.10s in the rear differential but left 3.42s in the front? Would you not be able to drive in 4x4? Could you still drive it on the street like that? Im guessing it would be ok in 2wd but in 4wd it would burn up the transfer case but Im not sure. I plan on regearing both pumpkins but maybe do the rear now and wait awhile to do the front. What do you think?

Don't drive it in 4x4 on pavement with those gear ratios, the transfer case will break.
It might last a little while offroad but it will eventually break, and it'll feel like the brakes are stuck on.
It should run fine in two wheel drive.
