 I have a question. I have been to some car shows and seen many s-10's that are "slammed" to the ground. But, every on ei have seen has had a section of the bed cut out so that something above the rear axel could poke through. Why did they do that? Is it because they needed more room to drop it that low. And if i were to want to "slam" mine with air ride, would i have to do that too?

Okay, well how low can you get it without having to do that, and in order to do that, do you get someone to do it or is it just done with a cutting torch

It won't lay flat out unless it's cut. I don't think anyone would do it with a torch. You gotta have someone that knows how to do it right.

I did one for a customer a couple months ago without a hole in the bed. And on 215/40-17s it sits about a half inch off the ground. The rear end does hit the bottom of the bed, and has put a hump in it. If you want some more info on the parts used, or his site address to see it, send me an email at [email protected]

hey, larry, thanks for that, but the website is down, if you could, please email me as [email protected] to tell me more. What kind of hump in the bed are you talking about?

the hole in my bed is only about 9" by 11" just enough for the rear pumikin to come thru.
also you can get away with out having a hole in your bed by cutting out the entire bed floor and raising it like 4 inches.

you can get the look of layin on the ground w/out cutting the bed...but its like IRSd_mini said...they sit like 1/2" off the ground..and your bed will be sitting on your pumpkin..I am personally going to my bed out with a cut off saw.. I am going to use a full bridge setup which will pretty much fill the hole that i cut..so you really won't be able to see my rear end...

good luck with the cutting..

layin rockers

you cant lay the rockers without a notch, but if you are not body droppin the truck you dont need a huge one, The baddest ass rocker scrapin trucks ive seen have had the rear wheels toutchin the top bed rails and the front wheels comin out the hood practically, pretty radical not a good daily driver.
