How does this thing conrol fuel to 6 different cylinders with 1 injector? Does it turn to each nylon line to allow fuel into them seperatly? How does this thing work?

ok well first in my opinion the cpi is junk some people like it i hate but anyways the central port injection system works like this one main pump connected to six lines which are than connected to a poppet nozzle that feeds into each intake they commonly go bad and when they do youll prolly ever get that motor right again

it basically works like a TBI injector. On a TBI motor there are two injectors that are batched fired into the 2 banks. On the CPI the single injector has six holes on the bottom which feed through the six poppets. The injector is batched fired so all cylinders are fed fuel at the same time. The only common problem with this is that the poppet nozzles can get stuck open by carbon build up, which is not any different than the 96+ models which are still fed through poppets. They do not commonly go bad. If you fill up with quality fuel and regularly run some kind of injector cleaner through, you'll be fine. If one does get clogged you can pull the poppet out and spray it down with some carb/choke cleaner.

Yeah, what jimmy said X2^

The key thing to the CPI is the Cam and the Intake Manifold Tuning Valve that "tunes" the intake runners to 2 different lengths depending upon what RPM the engine is at.
