Would a leaking cpi unit cause the service engine light to come on?I took off the upper plenum and the cpi was leaking.I was just wondering if thats what caused the light to come on or is there another problem besides the cpi.

The CPI won't directly turn in the service light itself, but it will create problems that will cause the sensors on other parts of the engine to throw a code.

If its leaking, install a new CPI unit, reset you computer by removing the negative post from your battery for a half an hour and see if the codes come back again.
