Has anyone tried to port/polish the CPI Intake?
Would this help?

My lower manifold is gasket match...

ported to the ported heads. I have since been told it wasn't really necessary? Yes polishing your CPI intake won't hurt and could help airflow since it is a dry manifold. It's a little hard to reach every inch inside though. I wouldn't port it, just clean up the casting flaws, and polish away.

Begin by lightly smooth out...

casting flaws with 40 grit followed by 80 grit. To polish you need 120 grit flap wheel followed by medium-grade cross buffs finishing with very fine grade cross buffs. You need to use a light lubricant like WD-40 with the cross buff work. All this should be done at about 10,000 rpm for best results.
