Thanks, but sounds like that is the one for the gauge.I need the one for the pcm,for the fuel air.

What year?
Thanks

2000 S10 Truck. Had this truck a year, and trying to make everything right.Slot of thing were mess up.
There's only one sensor. The diagram above is for a 94-97 but yours is in essentially the same location.

Thanks. If this is bad why does the gauge read good?

I could he wrong but I believe it's a 3 wire sensor. One signal goes to pcm, one to the gauge. So it's one sensor sending 2 separate signals. Which is why your gauge could be correct while your pcm is not.

Who said it was bad? Pretty uncommon... the computer uses its reading to operate the gauge.

You are wrong... I literally just posted the pinout of the connector.

Yeah, I saw, but the one in my truck is still a 3 wire. If you check rockauto both a 2 and a 3 wire are available for the 2.2

I really hate misinformation being spread 'round these parts. So please, tell me which one of these sensors for his truck has 3 wires.

I wasn't attacking you, dude. Chill. We're all here to learn. Obviously you've been around for over a decade working on these and not everyone knows every nuance about what stuff GM decided to randomly change year to year. I wasn't trying to spread "misinformation" just adding to the conversation. The AC Delco 213815 that's in my truck is a 3 wire. I didn't know if he could have had that style or not. I'm not surprised that the obd2 vehicles are different which is why I said "I could be wrong" thanks for the clarification.
LOL, no one is attacking you. Your "adding to the conversation" is just causing confusion though. Your truck is obviously not a 2000 MY, or a 98+ at all since they are all the same as far as that is concerned.
On a 2000 S10 4.3L or 2.2L the temperature sensor is a 2 wire to the PCM. One wire is the temp signal and the other wire is lo reference (grounded inside the computer). There is no wire from the engine to the cluster for temperature. The temperature data is sent via class 2 serial data to the cluster on a single wire along with much other data such as fuel level, volts, etc. If the gauge is reading correctly the sensor and the associated wiring has to be OK. If your truck is running rich you have another problem. O2's? Map? You need to get a good scanner on it and read live data.
