Hi if you have a coolant leak and it is not a hose, cracked radiator tank or something of this nature. This product was created for the racing industry and it works better than ANYTHING on the market. It's available at your local auto parts store, it's called K-Seal and it comes in a small blue bottle for under 20 bucks. Hope this helps anyone.

Based on your comments I did a search online and was I surprised. According to the manufacturer, "K-Seal is the number one coolant leak repair, use to fix your head gasket, block, radiator, heater core or water pump. K-Seal ULTIMATE is the simple, permanent fix for blown head gaskets, cracked heads and blocks, and porous engine blocks. Our unique formula works with all water-cooled engines."
Boy do I feel dumb. For over 60 years I've been replacing heads, head gaskets, and water pumps when I could have simply poured a can of this miracle in a can into the radiator.

Used about 5 pounds of black pepper to 'fix' a leak in a 16V149 on a supply boat years ago.It didn't work but boy did the engine room smell good!
I was desperate once, so I used the goo from an old lava lamp that was laying around. It didn't work either, but it was fun to watch! Definitely not a miracle sludge like I hoped.

About a year ago I had a pretty bad leak I think was the head gasket. Coolant was trickling down the back of the engine and seemed to be coming from the block since there are no hoses or lines back there. No coolant in the oil which was good. I used a bottle of that blue devil pour n' go headgasket sealer and a bottle of K-seal and it is no longer leaking from there. For the $50 I spent on the additives I'm happy with the result.
I do have a slow mystery leak from somewhere else now. I thought it was the lower heater hose and replaced that. There is a braided hose near the water pump that I think is full of electrical wires that goes directly into the engine and I can see coolant dripping off of it. It is the highest point I can see fluid leak, so my guess is something is weeping internally and coming down out that braided hose. I tried another bottle of stop-leak and all it did was plug up my heater. Some days I have a few drips under the truck, other I don't. I just keep it topped off, and wear an extra pair of socks on cold days now.

A hose full of wires, huh? That goes into the engine? Lol. Follow this guy's advice for sure.

I once used 2 bottles to fix a headgasket in a Walmart Parking lot. Didn't work and ended up replacing the headgasket before leaving the parking lot. Also didn't work. On the drive to the parts store for bottle #3 I think the first 2 bottles finally did something, but I dumped #3 in the radiator anyway. It got me 1000+ miles home, but not something I'd do in most any other situation.

I wasn't replying to the OP, his posts have all been advertising thinly veiled as "help". The guy I quoted is just spewing nonsense that I hope no one is naive enough to follow.
Not giving advice, just stating what my experience was with the product OP was advertising, and how I still have a leak despite having the product in my system.
You are right I should have described it better. It is a bundle of wires that comes from under the alternator, goes up over the thermostat housing, and then down under the water pump where it is insulated with braided wire sheathing. Then it goes directly into this surface of metal by the motor mount. I'm not pretending to know more than I do, if you know what this is or why coolant intermittently drips from this braided section that would be awesome.

Possible weeping of coolant from the water pump?
Possibly but I don't think so. When I can see it drip the weep hole from the water pump is dry and so is the mating surface. It seems like it is coming from wherever this braided bundle of wires goes into, then running down the wires and dripping from the lowest point where my flashlight is on.

If that's what I think it is, it's the starter cable and it goes through the motor mount to the starter. Nothing there to leak coolant. Probably the water inlet behind the water pump or the front corner of the head.

Definitely leaking onto it from somewhere above. You can borrow a pressure tester from most auto parts stores. You put it in place of the cap when it's cool and not running and pump it up to normal pressure around 18 psi. W/o the engine running and no wind or noise the leak will be easy to find.
