Hery everyone, I'm new to this board but i have an 89 s10 2.5l. This has been my project truck...I got it for free and it didn't run when i got it...lol. But now it is running great and i found a nice new bed and stuff. Anyhow...my service engine light comes on when i'm in traffic idling for a long time...and it comes up with a code 35. I read something about it meaning it's idling over 150 rpm out of the acceptible range or something. I'm just wondering how i adjust the idle or if there is some type of control. Thanks for any replies!

the iac motor controlls the idle. unless you have a big vacuum leak somewhere. with the engine on and the ac off listen for a hising noise. also check all of your vacuum hoses for cracks and splits and your pcv and egr valves

thanks!

I've recently replaced the pcv and egr valves, and i also replaced all of my vacuum hoses...so i guess that means i need to replace the iac motor...any idea how much that'll cost?
