dont mean to dig up old threads even tho its a sticky but i though id lend my 2cents, i just called and orderd my fittings and line, and summitt told me about a line that is the same thing just has tephlon insides all the way threw unlike the russle line above that is only tephlon inside on the gass side,(that is a nitrus/fuel line) wich will wear away and make the line expand and the line the sold me is a little more heavy duty and cost about $20 more but will not expand under pressure over time as this line is made for clutch applications. just thought id let you guys know, and this thread was and is a life saver!!! woot woot!!! thanks racerxs10!! saved my truck

Very good information man. I wasn't really aware of that when I did this. I'll knock on wood the line holds up :haha: Do you have a part number for the line you ordered? Adding to these threads help out people all the time. Feel free to post up which line you got.

Yeah I have a part nimber ill have to dig it up but ill get it, the guy who took my order even gave me a free union couse this one only comes in 27" lengths so that was pritty cool, and he explained why the main fitting is always on bakorder, its becouse russle hassnt meet with the times yet and only makes a couple at a time and only like once every couple months, it suxs but I ordered mine at the rite time only took like 2 weeks to get mine, just got today and ordered wen I posted on this thread last!! But the summit guy said a lot of people orderd that part and to hurry and get my name on it, I thought to myself, alota clutches cettn relocated off the forum haha! Ill get that part # and post up tonight

I'm not sure which trans you have. If you can see the gold fitting going into your trans you should be able to push in the sleeve and release the fitting (if you'res is set up this way) If theres a gold fitting, its like a push to connect. It can be easy or a pain to get out. It shouldn't leak fluid. If you're replacing the stock line, with a stock matching one, you'll be ok in doing this. If you're going to do an aftermarket fitting like shown in this thread, trans is coming out.
If you find one at a junk yard, go for it. Or look up any hydrolic fitting shops and bring your line in, see if they can't crimp up something on your fittings. Since its a daily, I'd track down a used line or pimp some b-ville whores for money.

when my plastic line blew 2 years ago i just cut out the section that had the hole and used compression fittings to put it back together, never had a problem with it

Im trying to get the roll pin out but for the life of me i just cant do it. Please give me suggestions as im trying to get this done tonight so i can get the truck fixed tomorrow!

The master cylinder is still in the truck so the brake booster is making it hard to get the right tools in there. If you've done this without taking the master cylinder out, please lemme know how!

Found a shop near me that could just put the stainless braided line on the stock fittings. Already installed in my truck and running great. If you want more info on the shop, PM me. The guy did it for $40. For those of us running a model with an internal slave...this would be a good alternative to dropping the tranny to get to the slave.

actually heres their website too:
