I need help on this one.

I have mot taken my truck out since its gotten down to the 30's. I am not sure if it is safe to drive in the cold weather. i am sure the chrome and metal expand and contract at different rates. Will the chrome peel off? Also how does salt affect the chrome plating/ Information will be appreciated.

Salt > Rims
Theres a possibility road salt will start to corrode them....
Why not just throw your stockers back on? and Not worth risking those rims...

They still throw salt down where you live???? Just do what Blue said and throw the stockers back on for the winter. But if you dont have'em, just wash your wheels after it snows.

That would be the best thing to do. I wanted to get an amp installed and it is about 15 miles away and since its up for the winter I did not want to change the wheels for one trip.

oh, if you're going for a 30 mile trip or whatever I wouldn't worry about it...just clean them good whn you get home.

Now if this we're a daily, you'd want to switch over to your stockers...
