Your opinion means nothing, Chevrolet in Vacaville is all that matters, People who actually know what is in front of them, funny thing is I have 5 offers 3 from their mechanics and 2 were salesmen. There no need to lie or blow smoke, or talk someone down, Appreciate your opinions, still debating if I should sell it or trade it in. Guess we'll see what happensWow 🤣
For a guy that told me to do my homework, it's ironic you didn't know how many were built in '97. I'm pretty sure I've forgotten more about the SS then you've researched. When was it wrecked? It has an aftermarket grill. I haven't seen a GM mechanic in the last 10+ years that knew anything about the SS. I stopped by the dealer for a part a couple weeks ago and the guy wanted to know what engine was in it. He had no clue that the LS platform wasn't an option.Your opinion means nothing, Chevrolet in Vacaville is all that matters, People who actually know what is in front of them, funny thing is I have 5 offers 3 from their mechanics and 2 were salesmen. People can call them whatever they want, and put every sticker they have on it....doesn't matter. But when a person tries to pass it off as fact with zero knowledge, it's just ignorance...My 1986 454SS even has the correct bowtie in the grille and the SS on the center caps of the 16" wheels, but people keep telling me it can't be a real long box SS because the SPID doesn't say B4U. It's even got the 454 so it has to be an SS.

BTW all the stickers are available on ebay.![]()
Thank you sirIt’s not an opinion, GENERAL MOTORS THEMSELVES put B4U as the RPO code on the SPID sticker off ALL / TODOS / ВСЁ SS trucks. I don’t understand what is so complicated about that… “you might wanna do your homework”
If you can sell it, sell it. Nobody’s trying to talk you down or dog you or your truck, we’re just telling you facts.
I see you are in the bay. I'm in hayward. Are you asking because of the red one on Craigslist for $9kDoes anyone by chance know how many 97' Chevy S10 SS GM made?
He's asking because he erroneously thinks he has a '97 SS.I see you are in the bay. I'm in hayward. Are you asking because of the red one on Craigslist for $9k
Define naked Xtreme? This debate regarding the SS truck.......I'll say it.....the SS truck is a naked Extreme. Is the SS a "rare" truck. Yeah......but rare also, is my grandpa's 1984 Buick sedan with white ¼ vinyl covered roof & no factory air conditioner.
