Hey, I bought my 2002 6 weeks ago, it needed a transfer case and it needs a wheel bearing. I was taking a corner the other day and it dropped the passenger side front torsion key because the crossmember is rotten. I’m looking for a new one. Places to order, look, or buy off you. i don’t care if it’s rusty it just can’t flake apart. any help would be appreciated on how to remove as well. i have acces to a lift at my auto tech school. thanks

Just a guess here, but if one of the heaviest pieces of metal on the truck just rusted thru you might seriously want to consider looking for something a bit less rotten. Any local junkyard will probably have another they can torch out for you.
It's going to be a real pain to put the newer one in if the truck is that rusty.
Past time to put it our to pasture. Time to put it down.

well it’s not really like rotten it looked like it more or less cracked I found a hole in the frame the size of a quarter when I had it on the lift I’ve been tapping it with a small ball peen to find more holes only one I found is that one gonna drive it till the inspections up and gonna get a job and save for something else well I drove it’s sad becaue it runs so good.

Didn’t anyone take English in elementary school?
Education Systems no longer require any proficiency in any of the Big 3 life Skills. Memorization exercises left the classrooms decades ago as Fed Gov't got more involved during mid 60's . Rite after JFK was replaced. Todays system is reliant on Osmosis thru gazing into a video screen. Only the 5% that are self motivated have a chance of gaining real knowledge.
