hey guys i have a 2001 s10 ext cab and today i bought a cd/cd-r/cd-rw/mp3 player and since i just bought the truck i dont know how to get to the radio. i looked at it and it looks like you have to pull that front dash panel off but im not sure how. could someone help me with this cause this is my first time tearing into this truck. by the way if it matters i have the factory head unit which has a cd player in it. thanks

ok first you need to take the panel below the steering wheel off. i think it has 4 or 5 screws holding it in. Also you can take that piece completely out by undoing the e-brake cable but you dont have to take it completely out. then remove the 3 screws that you see holding in the front dash. after that you should be see the 4 screws that hold in the cd player.
