My catalitic converter makes a tiring sound, what is the best solution??

Bored the interior of the cat or to buy some another??

...I have an SLP Y-pipe(1997) one my s-10 2001, so I had to weld a pipe to connect the cat to the y-pipe
is it possible to have a catalitic converter who fit perfectly on my truck with the Y-pipe for 1997 truck??

cats are covered under an 8year/80,000 mile FEDERAL warranty
