So I heard there were some major problems last year but Camp N Drag is back for those who can get through the application process (WTF?) Anyone on here planning on going? This is the show I have been working to get the truck ready for.

CAMP N DRAG on facebook said:
Ok! Here it is.
You can now go to www.campndrag.com and fill out the application form. THIS WILL BE THE ONLY WAY YOU ARE ALLOWED IN THE PARK THIS YEAR.
-Everyone must fill out an application (club members, wives, gf's, passengers,moms,dad's,etc...)
- You must fill out the form complete. ( no nicknames, slang, jokes, address must be complete with city and state. Etc..)
- if you filled out a form before 7:30pm central time today, May 7, you must fill out the form again because it was not processed.
- please give us 7-14 days to respond via email to confirm or deny your acceptance.
- if information is not complete and or what we believe to be false information, you may be denied.
- references should be someone that is in the scene and knows you and will vouch for you.

Was trying to read through the problems from 2015 but didn't really find much, you have any knowledge of them? Looking for a show to go to in 2017. How did this year go?

First off, There was LOTS of locals. Not there for the show scene, but just to party and cause problems. Attendance was unbelievable, probably 3-4k people in this park. It caused problems with space for people there for the show, parking, and cruising turned into a standstill joke. Cars blocking the roads, not allowing people to cruise, or police/emt to get where they needed to be in the park.

Once the rain started, it was torrential downpours. People with 4x4 trucks(locals and show attendees) saw this as an excuse to tear up the grounds by mudding around. The grounds were trashed. It was pretty sad to see people intentionally getting themselves stuck and dig a trench 3 feet deep. We watched a local pull a trailer in with a full blown mud truck (no joke, big motor, roll cage, exhaust coming out the wheel well, no bed etc) and just tear the back camp grounds up.

Sunday morning, alot of people were gone early, but the place was full of trash. Our group helped the little old ladies cleaning trash pick up the big round about cause people just left their piles of garbage everywhere. Watched one group of people who was collecting trash between their truck and pull behind trailer take off and run everything over leaving a trail of shit everywhere.

This year was 10000000x better. The app process was like any other show registration. But if your references didnt come through, you obviously arent that big into the scene and were declined. I heard they did turn people away at the gate as well, so they weren't messing around.

If I applied to attend next year would I be declined because of no references? Haven't ever been to any of the major shows and was making a list to possible hit next summer.

I didn't have all the references they asked for (I had only 2 good references) but I have been there at least three times before and never caused any trouble. My little brother was there only once before as a spectator and he only had me and one of my references on his app and they approved him too. It isn't that hard to get in unless you have been as asshole there before.
