Camaro Seat Swap

119291 Views 127 Replies 53 Participants Last post by  stevepinette
Should I host my pictures from my camaro seat swap install and make a how-to sticky? I know I like mine alot and I get a decent amount of requests from people for help, and I've got a fairly detailed set of instructions

I could e-mail it to somebody if they want to hose them, or I could throw them onto photobucket?

96 and 97 tracks are the same, so no modifications needed. It's literally as easy as changing 4 bolts
Sweet Thanks!!!
i did 06 gto seats, have to take some pics but they are tall when moved forward where i need them but as long as your not a 6"5 giant moved back they are still comfortable it seems. i needed the hiegth anyways

This is also the case for 94's no mods needed to get the 99 camaro seats in mine. Swap S10 tracks to Camaro seat bolt in and go.
ive got a 02 s10 regular cab. Im having a hard time finding seats for it. since the camaro seats fit pretty easily can i get aftermarket racing seats and tracks for a camaro and just use those?

The Camaro brackets need to be modified. 94-97 seat brackets may work on newer models?
To put Camaro seats on earlier trucks, I think the holes line up. (pending u already have bucket seats stock).
To put Camaro seats on later trucks, 2 holes line up and 2 need to be drilled. My 2003 stock bucket brackets had studs going up. I think earlier brackets have bolts from the bottom. Im not 100% on what years had what but all I know is what mine had and what JustAnSS said he had differs
Ive got a bench in a 2002 , but if I got racing seats with camaro brackets i can just modify the brackets there shouldnt be any other problems?

Camaro brackets aren't going to work in your truck. Use S10 tracks and go from there.

Also just an update, I got both of the side plastic pieces that were missing for my seats. Looks much better now. I still have a hole in the drivers side where the power seat controls were. I'll probably look into getting it patched.

As others have stated. You need S10 tracks.

I have a '95 bench. So would these bolt right up with the s10 tracks? or would i of had to of had stock bucket seats for this to work?
I wouldn't think that they would change the track arrangement between trucks... Worse case u might need S10 bucket seat tracks, but honestly it should fit.
You will need either 60/40 brackets or bucket brackets. They have to be from a 94-97 though. Then the Camaro seats will bolt right on.
Ok thanks. Gonna have to find those bucket brackets then can't stand this bench and those camaro seats look sick. Too bad i have the ugly blue interior i guess the grey seats could work...
JustanSS... Do your seats have a little play coming from the seat back lock? Mine work fine but they have play .... Just wondering...
Yeah they do, not sure what's up with that. My Cavy seats did that too.
this is sweet! I might go to the yard tomorrow just to dig through the f-bodies!
I will say... It took me a few days to get use to them. This seats keep your back straight...

98+ brackets will work too wont they? but the rear right hole will not line up. I took 94-97 power Blazer seats and they bolted right up in my 98 s10 all but the rear right hole. I just left it empty and 3 out of the 4 was still plenty to keep the seats down tight and sturdy. I could drill out a hole and bolt it down still but I see no need
so i would think it would kind of work the same way
i have a 96 s-10 single cab with a 60/40 bench, Can i use these rails to mate with a Camaro seat? Also what year camaro seats will work, Thanks
