Umm i got a 89 s1- 4.3 and it has a roller cam whats the diffence between the roller and the normal cam...would it be ok to but a normal cam in my motor

The difference between a normal and roller cam is that a normal cam would be used with flat tappet mechanical lifters. the benifit in this is that the lifters will not pump down when in high revs.
the benifits of a roller cam is that it uses hydrolic lifters wich reduce valvetrain power loss due to friction. wich means you get more power.

what you are calling a normal cam would be a flat tappet cam,
you can get them in both hydraulic and mechanical style.

A roller cam has rollers on the end of the lifters where it rides
on the cam lobes. You can also get roller cams in hydraulic and
mechanical style.

You will loose power if you go to a flat tappet(normal cam) .
If you take and flat tappet and a roller cam that are rated the
same, the roller will still make more power.
