I have a 1996 S-10. I think my bulbs in the square lights in the front bumper are amber. Is this true? If it is, can i take them out and replace them with clear bulbs? What # would they be?

I just checked the bulbs on my truck and they appear amber. I would check the owners manual for the part number and just get a clear bulb. The amber bulbs are usually hanging next to the clear bulbs.

i think there 1157 but i cant rem it will say on the bulb all you do is turn them and they pop out and look

How do you access those turn signals? From behind the bumper?

they are 3157 just go and get clear one's and put them in lay on the ground and crawl under the front of the truck and look up behind the bumper you will see where the bulb sockets are

I don't know how the law reads in Cali, but in Illinois you either have to have an amber bulb, or an amber lens. You can't run clear bulbs with clear lenses, since it's harder to see during the day. I got pulled over shortly after putting clear bulbs in mine is why I know about it.

Yeah, I'm aware of the law. A bunch of guys around here run the blued bulbs and they say that the cops don't mind. I figure...I haven't been pulled over for my flowmaster setup and the town I live in has a rule about getting a ticket if the 5-0 can hear the exhaust from 50ft. away or some shit like that.
