Ok im getting tired of this bench and it needs to go. I have like no leg room now that i installed my sub. I heard guys on here throw cavalier seats or sunfire seats. But with the bench there is only 2 bolts to hold down what ever i choose to put in there. Anyone got pics of their trucks with buckets? Strd cab 89 dime

I have cavi seats and hey are actually very comfortable. ill try to post pics tomorrow for you. If you have to you can drill out new holes for the rails just make sure the other two are secure first so your seat isnt crooked.

I got my buckets out of a 90+ Blazer. I drilled holes in the floorboard and welded in bolts for the inside posts.

Anyone have a vacuum handy? :D

Oh, if you do get some from a Blazer, try to get them from a two door. Mine are from a four door and the seats don't recline forward to get behind the seat.

I have Honda prelude seats in mine. Ill have to get a pic and post it up. I've heard of some people just lining up the seats with the two outside holes from the bench then drill two more holes on the other side and just put big bolts right through the floor. You could also do it that way but put em up from the bottom and tac weld em in.... but it's kinda ghetto.

My buddy took the buckets OUT of his blazer and put a bench in. A bench in the front AND back...now thats weird to see.

mine with blazer seats and door panels I made to match

mine with bravada seats and door panels i took from it

I drilled holes and ran bolts and lock washers through. I set the brackets even and drilled. I second getting two door seats though because they rock forwward. I like 1st gen seats in first gen trucks though. The others dont seem to flow as well.

because your buckets already had the right brackets, if he is going to use cavy seats, he'll need to get the different brackets as well, but if he gets blazer seats with tracks they'll fit ;)
