Hey everyone! I started towing larger trailers with my 2002 s10 zr2. It doesn’t have the tow package but someone put a class 3 receiver hitch on it. So i wired In a 7 pin connector . But I was unable to find the brake pedal signal wire for the input to the controller. I have everything else wired in, but can’t find the wire that activates the trailers brakes when I push the break pedal on the truck. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a light blue one that comes out of the fuse box under the hood, but I doubt it would be easier than the brake switch but it would be on it's own fuse then. But yes the white one should also work. You can see it in this diagram.

It's light blue at the tail light harness. Way easier to use it there than wire from the brake switch. I used it to separate my brake and turn signal wires.

Light blue it is. The end of it is in the driver side rear wire harness, around the spare tire. I used mine ('03 Sonoma) for the high center brake light on my topper. It has it's own fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.
