I did a search...did not find my answer........but anyways here is my query

I just picked up this pick-up...ha ha...get it?... pick up this pi....nevermind....

Anyway..its a 97 5 speed 4.3L and it looks like the master, or the slave..or both are done....So I was going to replace the clutch as well just for good measure.....

Where have you all found to be the best place for a complete clutch kit and slave and master? Figured you all would know...this is my first Chevy ever...so I am out of sorts with sourcing parts as well as I did for my Hondas....

thanks in Advance

I personally think Rock Auto has some great prices and fast shipping.

I'm assuming your engine is a "w" code.
Here is a link to parts for your ride.

Summit may have better prices on a good clutch set as well.

That Zoom Clutch kit for 190. + might be nice. You may have to get a new flywheel
or at the very least get your resurfaced. HTH's

By the way, welcome to the site.

Thanks for the Rock auto pointer..I totally forgot about them, and I am even on their mailing list...guess that goes to show ya that those mass mailings are not always effective...LOL. :D

I got the whole shabang , Complete clutch kit, slave , and master for 354 shipped...thought it was a fair price...I guess i will have to get the flywheel resurfaced.. I would do it at work, but I really don't feel like making a fixture to turn one flywheel on the lathe...but i am going to make some new pins and bushings for the doors....those things are about to wear through

Well I hope it works out for you. Some guys have stated that bleeding the
system is a PITA and the results haven't always worked out well. I don't
know what the routine is or how GM recommends one do it. Here is
a pretty good sticky in regards to doing the R&R including bleeding.

Yea I agree. Rock Auto is seems to have some excellent prices
and shipping etc works pretty good. I haven't dealt with their
customer service, but I suppose it's ok..
