Hi everyone, new here so please be patient. I have a question about the front suspension on my "89" S10 2wd that my son and I made into a drag truck. We installed a BBC 461 w/TH400. Without the motor in, the truck sits pretty level which we like. With the motor in, you can imagine it drops the frontend pretty far. The frontend is stock which has been fine at the strip so far but we want it to sit level. What coil spring do we need to swap out to to help raise the front? I tried to measure the original ones and they seem to be somewhere around 5-1/2" diameter but I don't know the length. Will a coil from a Camaro, Firebird or similar work for what we want?

Thanks
Mike

i imagin with that much weight go to your local parts store (autozone advanced etc.) or get on summit racing and order fcs5446s it is the moog 5664 it should do the trick for you.
Yep camaro/trans am springs will work for you. I agree the moog 5664 or 5662 coils would be what your looking for. The 5662 comes up as a stock replacement spring on summit racing for a 92 camaro 350 auto. The difference between the 5662 and 5664 is spring rate, the later being higher (767in/lbs vs. 706in/lbs). The stock s10 coils rate 579 and 639inlbs lower being 4cly higher 6cly. With a big block I would think you'd be good to go with the 5664 coils.
