I’ve got a 95 s10 4.3l w engine. How do you set the balance shaft up

How do you set it up? im assuming you mean how to set it too time with the cam? if so theres a dot on both gears they can be hard too see somtimes. line the two dots up like you do the timing chain except the balance shaft gear and cam gear mesh together.
